Annotate and comment in Review
Using the Docked or Undocked Viewer, you can annotate a native or image file with Highlight, Link, Strikethrough, Arrow, or Text annotations. When creating an annotation, you can add a comment to the annotation or change the appearance of the annotation.
Perform the following procedure to create an annotation on a document.
- In the Project page, select .

Navigate to the document you want to view.

Select a document from the list. The Docked Viewer appears on the right side of the Review grid.
- In the Docked Viewer, click to open the Undocked Viewer and in the Undocked Viewer, navigate to the document you want to inspect using the viewer arrows.

- In the document, use the following substeps to create a strikethrough or highlight on the text. You can also copy the selected text or add a link on the text.
- Select the tool.
- In the Docked Viewer, click Select Text at the bottom of the page.
In the Undocked Viewer (or Docked Viewer), click to open the Toolbox and then click Select Text .
- Select text in the document.
- Using the popup menu that appears after you select the text, choose one of the following actions. Any selection other than adds an annotation on the text.
- , to copy the selected text.
- , to highlight the selected text as an annotation.
- , to add a link for the selected text as an annotation.
- , to draw a line through the text as an annotation.
- Optional. Directly after adding the annotation, you can add a comment or format the object on the text using the popup menu that appears. You can also click an existing annotation to view the popup menu to make further changes.
- To add a comment, select , type the comment and click .
- To format the annotation, click the annotation. In the Annotation pane, select any of the formatting options available for the annotation type.

- Select the tool.
- In the Toolbox, you can create additional annotation objects, including an arrow or text field.
- In the Toolbox, click Annotate to view the available tools for Arrow Annotation and Text Annotation. Other tools
Additional tools in the section of the Toolbox include Highlight Annotation and Link Annotation . While the previous step describes how to create these annotations using the Selection Tool , you can also create them using these tools.
- Click the icon for the object you want to draw.
- and draw an arrow, from the end to the point.
- and draw a text box. Then click in the box and type text.
- Optional. After adding the annotation, add a comment or format the object using the popup menu that appears after you draw the object. You can also click an existing annotation to view the popup menu to make further changes.
- To add a comment, select , type the comment, and then click .
- To format the object, click the annotation. In the Annotation pane, select any of the formatting options available for the annotation type.

- In the Toolbox, click Annotate to view the available tools for Arrow Annotation and Text Annotation.
- Optional. Draw additional annotations as needed.
