About the AI Model

Epiq Discovery's AI Model features harness the power of Epiq AI Discovery Assistant. It allows you to select documents you have in Epiq Discovery to work with using the capabilities of Epiq AI Discovery Assistant. Epiq Discovery has the following AI Model features.

  • In Review, Chat provides you with immediate insights based on questions you ask that can streamline and assist decision-making.

  • In Inspect and Review, you can retrieve predictive scores from the model you created in Epiq AI Discovery Assistant. You can generate predictive scores for documents added to the AI Model by running them against models in Epiq AI Discovery Assistant. The predictive scores help you speed up the review process by reviewing high-scoring documents first, as these contain the most relevant content.

To use the AI Model features, you need to add documents to the AI Model from Inspect or Review. Your System Administrator at Epiq can enable or disable the AI Model in Epiq Discovery. When enabled, you can access these features.

Adding documents to the AI Model

You can manually add documents to the AI Model. Use Document Actions>AI Model in Inspect or Review to manually add selected documents to the AI Model. If it displays a lock, it is not enabled. When you have access to the AI Model, you can add documents.

Additionally, your System Administrator at Epiq can set your project to automatically add promoted documents to the AI Model. Once enabled, when you promote documents using features like Document Action, Filter, or Data Assessment Dashboard, the system adds the promoted documents to the AI Model.

To view the status of the addition of documents to the AI Model, in the Jobs Overview page and the JOBS page in Review or Inspect, view the Build AI Model job.
