Search using bulk document numbers in Inspect

You can search for documents using bulk Document Numbers in Search Builder. You can enter bulk lists, or import Document Numbers from CSV or TXT files.

The Search box and the dialog box does not show bulk Document Numbers you specified. Instead they show a bulk id for these numbers. Using this bulk id in the Search box returns all of the documents you specified.

To search for bulk Document Numbers, complete the following procedure.

  1. In the Main Menu, select and then .

  2. If you create or update any fields or values after you open Inspect, click to display the latest information in Search Builder.

  3. Select the field from the first dropdown.

  4. Select the operator.

  5. Select in the criteria.

  6. In the dialog, follow these steps.

    1. Enter Document Numbers using one of the following.

      • In the field, enter Document Numbers manually.

      • In , upload a CSV or TXT file containing Document Numbers.

        • The Document Numbers appear in the field.

        • To add additional Document Numbers using a CSV or TXT file, do the following.

          1. Click in the existing file to remove it.

          2. Upload a CSV or TXT file containing Document Numbers.

          3. Select .

        • To clear all numbers, select .

    2. To validate Document Numbers, click . The following validation results appear.

      • . Document Numbers found in the project database.

      • . Document Numbers not found in the project.

      • . Duplicate numbers within the added set.

    3. To download the validation report, click .

    4. Click .

      • The value field in the search criteria displays the number of Document Numbers you specified.

  7. Add more criteria as needed. For more information, see Use Search Builder.

  8. Click .
  9. You can view documents in the Document List and the search string in the Search box.
